"Today, I had a bowl of Lucky Charms. I saved all the marshmallows until the end. I felt like I had rewarded myself with a treat. MLIA"
Jaxen always had a thing for high places.
The sunset was nice, but not amazing. He had watched it for the past hour, watched the rays of sun bleeding out into the sky, staining the clouds red. It was a nice sight, but nothing spectacular. At this point, the sunset was nothing more than a thin stripe of red over the treetops, like the sun had stopped the flow of bleeding and was left with an open wound along the horizon.
Why did he have to see these simple things in such a violent manner. Gawd.
The wind was strong up on the roof of his new school. His dark brown hair whipped around as he stared out at the approaching dark cloud coming from the side opposite the fading sunlight. He briefly wondered how long he had to get down from the roof before the snow started falling on him, and made the rough guesstimate of half an hour. But then again, he was no weatherman. And even they were usually wrong anyway.
The roofing Jaxen was on was had only a slight angle to it, so he lied down and stared at the sky which was entering twilight. It was only about 17:00, but due to the winter season the sun was sinking earlier. Jaxen dug his heels into a shingle to ensure he wouldn't slide to the edge of the towering building. It wasn't entirely icy up here, and due to the almost complete lack of slope, the chances of his falling off the edges were slim, but Jaxen figured it was better to be safe than sorry.
He was wearing his yellow and black Ski-Doo jacket, with the image of a mechanical hornet on his back. Black jeans were worn on his legs, along with black DC skater shoes, the shoelaces and logo on the side a violent shade of lime green.
Jaxen had found his way up here on the roof by overhearing a couple students whispering to each other about a door in the back of a storage room on the top floor. It didn't take long for Jaxen to find it, and he was surprised that the storage room door had been unlocked. He had been hanging out here for the past hour, undisturbed. If it wasn't winter time right now, he would've called this a spot he'd go to often. However, he was NOT a fan of the cold. Just the fact that he's been out this long already was a miracle all in itself.
