Devi had just cleaned up from his latest reaction of the week. He didn't want to return to the mess the students would comment on, so he decided to hide out in town. He flew over the town making sure the lights didn't hit him as he flew for a hiding place for the night. He notice an emty room in one of the hotels and decided to stay there. The lock on the window was easy to break, allowing him to enter without a sound. He shut it and locked it back when he was safely inside. He didn't want it to look like someone had been in the room and he hated all the open space in the room.

"where to sleep, where to sleep.... found it!"

He noticed the closet in the lightless room. He darted over to it once his wings were placed away. He opened the door and crawled in, enjoying the coldness of the small space. He curled his small frame on the floor and gently fell into a calming sleep.

[x] take a breath and softly say goodbye;;

Kai pulled up to the Grand Hyatt Seattle in his sexy 2006 Toyota Tacoma. Stop And Stare was blasted within. Kai was humming along and looking for a parking space.And then he spotted it. The ultimate parking spot of glory. Had he been a sap, he might have cried. But no, he's tough. So Kai parked in the perfect spot, then jumped out of the Radiant Red colored Tacoma. Locking the door behind him. He didn't need to take out any bags, since he was only going to be staying here one night. His cousin DJ was hosting a party of some sort at the apartment, and he didn't intend on staying around to join. Her friends were creepy. And not in a good way.

Kai entered the Hotel, and approached the front desk. He paid beforehand, telling the lady at the front desk that he'd only be staying one night. He got his key. Room 271. Kai stepped into the elevator and pressed '2'. The elevator rose, sending him to the second floor. It was a nice elevator. A round section in the back wall was glass, and you could see an aquarium, fish swimming about mindlessly, happy to be going nowhere.

The door opened and he stepped outside. Looking down the endless hallway of nothingness. Okay, there were people wandering about, but it was rather empty. It was late at night - most people were already sleeping. Finding room 271 with ease, Licander stepped in and closed the door behind him. He didn't need to bother turning on the lights - there was enough light flooding into the room from the window, whose curtains weren't closed. He didn't mind. he closed the door and locked it behind him, and tossed the truck keys and the key card for the room onto a table beside him. Kai walked over to the fridge and found it with liquor and water and fresh foods. Wow. Alcohol? he was only 16 though. They must have assumed he was older, given the substantial amount of money he paid for the room. I mean, really - what 16-year-old walks around with over a thousand dollars in cash in his wallet?

Taking out a Sleeman's Honey Brown Lager, Kai walked to the bedroom area, before plopping himself down on the bed. He didn't intend on getting shmammered, but it couldn't hurt to have one drink. A buzz, at the least. He rested his torso on the headboard, then used his sweater sleeve to pop off the cap, which he placed on the bedside table. Putting the bottle beside it. He pulled the thin, well fitting Fox sweater over his head, and tossed it to the end of the bed, where it hung limply over the edge. Kai picked up the bottle and took a small drink from it. He liked the way it gave his face a light flush of heat, then faded like nothing. It wasn't anything powerful enough to make a pink hue settle on his cheeks, but you get that nice flush for a fraction of a second.

He was sleeping still on the floor of the closet. His dreams were full of him and his brother before they were seperated. He shook for a momment before he sprug up off his side, panting from the dream. He looked under the door and noticed the room was still empty with the light off. He was ready to clean up some more with the cuts on his wrists needing bandages.
He slowly opened the closet with his less pain filled hand. He carefully slid out of the crack that he made with the door until he could hear the breathing of someone else in the room. His body froze the instant his icy eyes made contact with the one in the room. He knees gave in beneath him, making him fall to the floor. His eyes stayed on the teen on the bed as he forced words out of his mouth.


".......s......Samus........"

He didn't know where he got the name of his brother for someone he didn't know. His mind was still in his dreams as he just stared the one before him down. If they moved closer to him, he would crash out the window for his own safety.

He took another drink from the Honey Brown lager, before placing it on the night table. He pulled his cell phone out of his pocket, and began to reply to a text message he'd received earlier, but had no muse to reply to it. He began typing away, all fast due to his awesome T9word-ing skillzz. 'No, I didn't leave my Xbox behind. Like I'd let you use it anyway.' he typed back. His friend wanted his Xbox 360, but Kai had brought it with him. So ha.

A barely audible creak whispered through the still room, and Kai looked up, right after pressing 'Send'. He didn't see anything, but there was still the nagging feeling that something was there. Simply because you'd think that it wouldn't do that. Maybe if a window was open, but there weren’t any. But since Kai isn't scared of things like closets randomly opening, he looked back to his drink, and placed the cell phone onto the table. He took another small drink of the lager. And then he heard a whisper.

It was faint, but inside the sound-proof walls, it was like someone said it right into his ear. Kai placed down the drink on the table, and then slid off the king-sized bed. He glanced about the room, before noticing the source of the whisper. Kai froze in place, not sure how to react just yet. It was a guy – he had dark hair, cut in an emo-style, and he was… bleeding? At the wrists? Kai’s eyes widened slightly. Was this guy trying to kill himself in the closet of a hotel? …That sounded sort of weird, but that’s what Kai gathered from the sight ahead of him. Kai wasn’t sure what he was supposed to do at this point – help this guy out or keep a distance. After all, who hides in closets in fancy hotels? Who are you? Kai asked, taking a hesitant step toward the guy.

He slid back some when the male teen got off the bed and came towards him. He could hardly move his body, or chose his words for some reason. His mind was strangely trapped in his dreams with his brother.

"......D........Devi.......you're back......sa.....Samus....."

He looked out of it with his eyes ready to close again. He reached a shaky hand foreward, the bleeding slowing down. He couldn't do anymore as he clutched his chest with his other hand. His breathing was harsher then before.

[x] so here we are, fighting and, trying to hide the scars;;

He noticed the guy had withdrawn slightly, as though he was scared that Kai would hurt him. ......D........Devi.......you're back......sa.....Samus..... Kai didn't really understand what the guy was trying to say, but easily came to the conclusion that the guy was on drugs. That would explain the fact that he was hiding in a frickin' closet, it would explain the raspy tone he spoke in, and the way he was reaching at Kai like that. It would explain the cuts on his wrists, and the nonsense he was talking. Kai began to take cautious steps toward the dark-haired guy, looking him over for if he had anything with him. He didn't seem to.

Devi? he asked quietly, assuming that was his name, since it was the first thing the guy said after his question. Maybe it wasn't his name. He'd learn sooner or later. Kai grabbed Devi's outstretched hand, and hauled him up to his feet. Kai assumed he'd get blood on him from the guy's bleeding wrist, but didn't worry about it. It's not like blood was hard to get out of clothes or anything. Kai had dealt with drugged-up people, given he'd usually find his friends in that state. Sort of like they'd find him.

Kai placed the guy onto the edge of the bed, then slipped away from him. He was really light, like he only weighed 100 pounds, maybe a little less. Kai stepped away from him and looked at him, waiting to see what the guy would do or say next.

he fell back onto the bed softly. he shut his eyes for a moment, but shot them back open when he had realized what he had said moments ago. he looked to the one before him with wide, fear-filled eyes.

"Sorry...i didn't mean to call you....(shuts eyes tight) Samus."

he could still smell the reason that made him say the name of his missing brother. he suddenly stood up, eyes half lidded. he pulled his hoodie sleeves over his now blood dried wrists until nothing but his fingers were sticking out. he walked froward some, his hoodie slipping off his left shoulder. he placed one hand on the teen's right shoulder, moving his face closer to their ear. he was only an inch away from their ear until he finally spoke.

"i think the reason is....your scent is so much like...his.."


he pulled back some, but made his face 2 inches from the one before him. a sheepish smiled was on his face as his eyes held lust deep inside them. he was still taking in the teen's scent as he waited for a response.

Kai watched as Devi flumped back on the bed. His eyes flickered from the boy to his drink, then back to the boy. He assumed this would be a bad time for him to resume drinking. The guy’s eyes shot open, and Kai raised his eyebrows, half expecting him to start yelling and freaking out, as he once did after a nasty ‘trip’. He could see the fear that seemed to scream from his eyes, but Devi’s words weren’t loud like he’d expected. Instead, he said, Sorry...I didn't mean to call you... Samus. Something about the way he shut his eyes before the last word spoken in the sentence made him realized that this ‘Samus’ person must have been a big deal somehow.

Uhm…It’s okay… muttered Kai in reply, not sure what else to say. He watched the guy stand up, his eyes drowsy. Despite the fact that his eyelids were heavy on his eyes, he began to get the feeling that Devi wasn’t on any drugs, but in fact sober. Kai slightly lifted his chin in a ‘what-are-you-doing?’ manner as Devi approached, his hoodie beginning to slide off his shoulder. As his hand rose, he saw that his wrists were covered by the cuffs of his sleeves. Which was a tad comforting, knowing he wouldn’t get any more blood on him as he felt the hand settle on his shoulder. Devi leaned in, but Kai didn’t move, seeing as he was still in the confused, ‘wtf…’ stage.

I think the reason is....your scent is so much like...his... was whispered into his ear. Kai was taken aback. His scent? He didn’t use aftershave, and millions of guys wear Axe. So what kind of ‘scent’ was he talking about? And he recently had a shower, so there was no way Devi could start saying he smelt funny. He knew how homes had certain smells, but people? Kai was about to ask what Devi meant, but held himself back, What did he mean? And the way he whispered it into his ear like that, rather than just saying it normally sent shivers crawling up his spine like a spider. He wasn’t sure why, but something about this guy was beginning to freak him out. Not so much over the lack of personal space issues, but more so about his nature, or at least what Kai was able to make of it from the short amount of time they spent in the same enclosed area.

Devi pulled away, and Kai looked into the steel orbs of his. Combined with his smile, there was something mysterious about them. Something… calming. They held something that seemed almost predatory in them, and some other emotion he couldn’t yet identify, but still something calming. Soothing. Kai’s questioning gaze settled into an expression that could be best described as ‘tranquil’. He didn’t feel as uncertain anymore, but there was a calmness about him, as though he were just hanging out with a friend he’d been chilling with since he was an child. There was just something about Devi’s stare… I’m Kai, he said quietly, his words soft and just slightly slurred.

he tilted his head to the lide slightly when the teen stated their name. He backed off some, never leaving eye contact, as he traced his hand up to his chin slowly. His fingers went over a vein in Kai's neck, causing his fangs to extend some.

"That's a nice name......Kai.....did you pick it yourself?"

The tips of his fangs poked at his lower lip while he sat back on the bed, eyes never leaving Kai's, his hooded falling away from his shoulders, showing off how frail his figure was. The smile widen some, but not by much.

He noticed Devi back off some, so he was more than a couple inches away. He felt the teen's hand trail up to his jawline, and Kai's eyes flickered down at the hand. Suddenly he felt pulled from that daze, that trance he was in, as though someone grabbed the back of his shirt and yanked him out of a pool of water. He hesitated for a second, wondering why in the hell he felt so at ease just a moment ago. His eyes flickered back to Devi steel orbs, just as he spoke in a calming tone.

That's a nice name......Kai.....did you pick it yourself? Kai's eyebrows raised. He had enough sense to know that that question was a little more than off. He shook his head. ...Parents pick your name... he thought, slightly wondering why Devi would ask such a question. As Devi sat down and his sweater slipped off, Kai noticed two white specks protruding from between his lips.

Why... he began, trailing off, his eyebrows furrowed slightly. Why does he have this drugging effect on me? Why am I just standing here while he stares at me like a cat staring at a mouse...? he thought. Though he still didn't move. Why? This was so uncharacteristic of him - he should just knock the guy out for looking at him like this; for being in his fricken' hotel room! Yet Kai's feet still sat firmly planted on the ground, his eyes still making contact with Devi's. Why didn't he move... Why...

he smiled gently at Kai's thoughts. So he was making to boy seem to be in a trance. He dug a hand into his pocket and took out some bandages. He pulled one sleeve up and wrapped his wrist. He cut the bandage with his teeth before starting on the other. While he did this he made sure his gaze did not leave Kai's.
Once he had finished that, he carefully took off his hoodie with as little movement as possible. He smirked again as he backed onto the bed somemore, feet the only part of him hanging off the bed. He held a hand out to Kai as if to coax him to come sit with him.

"Why don't you sit, I don't think its fair for you to keep standing like that."

He tilted his head to the side, an innocent look on his face. For one that looked so sweet, he was being so dangerous right now.

Kai watched as Devi ‘dressed his wound’, or something that passed for it. Frowning slightly, Kai noticed that it was not only him that wasn’t looking away, but Devi seemed to hold onto that gaze as intensely as a cat staring down its prey. The teen slid off his sweater in a fluid movement, before moving himself further back on the bed. When the guy held out his hand and pressed for Kai to come and sit down with him, he hesitated. Doubt flooded his mind, telling him that this guy wasn’t as trustworthy as he was acting. But another part of him was coaxing him as well, reassuring him that there’s nothing to worry about. Kai’s eyes averted to glance at his lager. He no longer had any desire to finish it off.

He seemed to sever the ‘connection’ they had as he looked away. Realization rushed at him like a river current. The guy was in his closet. Everything about him was suspicious, and do you think that the way he was talking to him was safe?

Kai glanced up back to Devi, his eyes cold. But not realizing that this would happen, Kai’s eye contact that he made with Devi settled him right down, throwing him back into that tranquil state. He nodded, taking his offer, then slid onto the duvet, his back propped up against the headboard. Why are you here? he asked bluntly, looking at Devi still.

His smile faded for a moment when Kai broke his eyes away. he could tell the teen was thinking about why he was here, but these thoughts vanished when they made eye contact again. His sheepish grin came back when Kai sat on the bed next to him. He chuckled while he moved closer to the other's face. He could hear his blood plusing through his veins, making it ever so harder for him not to just bite him right then and there.

"I came to hide from people. My brother's missing and I haven't found anyone simular to him until now."

He had a finger trace up Kai's shoulder, stopping at a strong vein in his neck. A wider smile crept onto his face before he leaned into the teen's ear, a dark whisper spoken.

"This will only hurt for a moment, I promice."

He quickly moved his head to kiss the plusing vein while he used his arms to restrain his soon to be victim. He slowly sank his teeth into Kai's neck, enjoying the fast flow that came onto his lips. He lapped at the blood with pure eagerness. His hands gripped the teen's arms tighter as more blood flowed. A grin came to his face as he kept on drinking the slightly tainted, but ever so sweet blood.
