Delilah sat down to one side she had a whole stack of learning english books to the other she had the opposite book of it of learning greek. She took the first volume down for both greek and english. She flipped through both of them one looked like the usual words she knew and the other looked like a freakin formula. She sighed as she started she opened the first chapter in both. Man she couldn't believe she had to do all the volumes but she wanted to do everything in her power to learn english so she wouldn't make a absolute fool of herself. She just had only 9 volumes to read in english and in greek. 'Great...' she thought to herself in greek.
Delilah was happy to get out of her dress though she was accustumed to it and the blue jeans she was wearing felt awkward. She was wearing a black beanie with rainbow stars all over it over her head which covered up part of her dire wolf ears. She was wearing a pale black t-shirt with some light green english letters on it of some rock band 3 day grace or something like that and a black and white striped jacket. She also had on white arm warmers and sneakers. Which were uncomfortable she'd rather be barefooted but the teacher saw her walkin bare footed and sent her to her dorm to put some shoes on and it took her forever to get them tied though she thinks she did it wrong cause they came untied.
Though right now she'd half to say her favorite colors are the lime green and black they just went so good together and black of all colors to become cute with lime green. It was amazing.

Licander wandered into the library with his hair all pretty, his clothing wrinkle-free and his skin flawless. Guess what: he'd just woken up. He didn't have any classes today so he decided to sleep in for awhile, and he woke up from some stupid bird hitting the window. Since then, he wasn't able to get back to sleep, so he decided he should get up, and then switched his purple jammer pants for faded blue jeans and went. Still wearing his pink t-shirt. And no, he isn't gay, he can just totally pull off the colors pink and purple, and he looks hot, so he wears them.
Li hadn't been in the library yet so he decided to go check it out while he didn’t have much else to do anyway. He was taking a day off from killing today, so he could actually get to know the school, and the people in it. He needed to meet a bunch of people, see what their crowds were like, and see what the people were like. He needed to find out as much as he could about everyone.
You see, there are different methods to an assassin’s work. There’s going into a house or whatever and getting the job over and done with. There’s a way to freak someone out and make them do what you want, like how some of you might have seen in Red Eye. But then there’s the kind that would take a long time; the kind where you actually have to go out and make friends with the people you’re going to kill. Where you trick a whole group of unknowing peers into trusting you, before you turn around and stab them in the back. And no, my friends, that wasn’t a figure of speech.
Licander’s calm eyes scanned the library as he decided to take his first good look at it. It was stuffed with shelves of books, a bunch of tables scattered about, a couple big cushy chairs here and there. The stereotypical library. Oh! How wonderful. There was even the old librarian with the coke bottle glasses, the crooked nose, the wrinkles around her eyes that displays many years of reading books. The laugh lines around her mouth that shows millions of words spoken. Maybe she had a fun life before the concern, ‘who am I going to drink with tonight?’ got replaced by, ‘I have to remember to take my medication for my osteoporosis’. The poor woman. Now she was to deal with, in her eyes, ‘immature children.’
His fingers brushed mindlessly along the spines of some books situated on one of the many bookshelves, though he wasn’t really paying much attention to the books. He was listening for anyone nearby, without looking around to seem suspicious. His sensitive ears caught the sound of someone flipping through open a couple books. Looking over his shoulder, Licander saw that it was a girl who was wearing black and white, a hat and some Three Days Grace tee. He liked that shirt. He hadn’t seen this girl before, so he decided to go sit down with her, find out who she is, and maybe learn about a new chunk of the school he hadn’t known about earlier. Swiping a random book off the shelf, Licander made his way across the room to the table the girl was at. Pulling out a chair, he sat across from her, and smirked. ”Hey,” he said simply.

Delilah casually looked up and was kind of glad she couldn't see the librarian. She was creepy looking with her layers and layers of wrinkles. Her black hair wavy as it was not in her usual ponytail and it flowed past her butt. She looked back at her books and went over it. It was easy now for she knew half of this stuff. She rubbed her new balance shoes together she wanted to take them off they were just so uncomfortable. She had always walked around barefoot. She felt more free and loose. Even though she sometimes stepped on a rock or a stick it was ok. She kind of thought of life like that. Sometimes when your running in the meadow you step in the softest parts and not even notice but when you step on a stick it hurts and the pain eventually goes away but you don't forget about it.
Deliah gave a small smile. She noticed how quiet it was in here. She liked quiet and not loud noises. They always scared her for her ears were so sensitive along with her nose. She couldn't stand to be next to a person with to much perfume or cologne on it made her nose itchy and made her feel like that they shoved the whole bottle up her nose. She flipped the other page in both books. It was getting a little harder but she understood. Though she felt a little embarrassed when she realised all the mistakes she made with her grammer over the year. She studied for a while and noticed that she had been there a long time. She had just finished the 3rd volume she breezed through the 1st and 2nd one. She then opened the 3rd volume and saw it was a little bit harder. She let out a sigh it got a lot harder and she had just learned about nouns, pronouns, adjectives, and conjunctions and now there were even bigger words she had to sound out. She knew all the words in greek but they looked so funny in english.
She finished a couple of chapters when her ears gave a light twitch for someone was behind her. She turned around and saw a boy with black and white hair. He was very good looking and looked very nice. Though she felt her nevousness come in. Her deep brown eyes clouded as she felt her chest pound.
"Hey"
"Hey" she said quietly, she had read that the word was an english greating. She looked at the book he was reading "1000 ways to charm a woman" she read aloud. She looked at him in a confused way "Are you doing a report?" she asked kind of feeling proud of herself as she noticed how her speach was coming as long as he didn't use big words.
She clasped her hands they felt wet. Her heart was going fast what was going on? She wondered. She looked at him with her brown eyes. Usually she felt nervous around others and she does feel nervous around him but she felt something else. She pinned her ears back a little as her creamy tail with the brown tip curled around her leg.

A slight weight lifted from his chest as she returned the simple 'Hey', rather than doing the same as some other chick did in the school yard yesterday... It went sort of like this. Hey, OMG hi!! What's up? OMG you're so hot! We should like, hang out sometime! It was truly a sad day.
He watched her eyes wander over to the random book he was supposed to be reading, before she spoke, 1000 ways to charm a woman. Licander's eye twitched, before looking down to the book, as if he needed to confirm what she was saying was true. It was. Why did this have to be the one he got? Talk about bad luck. Are you doing a report? she asked, and Li looked up. She was wearing an almost confused look on her face. His eyes met her's and he noticed how brown hers were, as opposed to his yellow ones.
Clearing his throat, Licander looked down to the book he grabbed. No... he began, before flipping open the hardcover book. Actually I'm just brushing up on my lady-nabbing skills. Looking to the page he'd opened, he skimmed through a paragraph, before shutting the book with a snap. He looked to the girl and clasped his hands around hers, staring very deeply into her eyes. Did you know that you have the most gorgeous set of eyes I have ever seen? he asked, his voice smooth as silk. After a couple seconds, he smiled, trying to show that he was just playing along.

Delilah looked at him at his yellow eyes. She felt a little relaxed when he was talking to her. She didn't know why though usually she was tensed up. It was hard for her to trust people.
"No..."
He replied flipping through the crisp pages. She gave a small smile trying her best to warm up to him. She wanted to.
"Actually I'm just brushing up on my lady-nabbing skills."
Delilah gave a soft laugh. She could tell he was picking with her by the way he smiled then suddenly he grasped her hands. He was touching her. She felt her heart quicken in pace as she could smell his sweet scent.
"Did you know that you have the most gorgeous set of eyes I have ever seen?"
She knew he was picking by the way he smiled but she pulled her hand away gently. She took her book and flipped a page. She didn't like that no matter how hard she felt it was ok, she wouldn't trust anyone. She didn't want to get hurt again.

Licander smiled slightly as the girl simply pulled her hand back, rejecting him. How sad. Fine then, he said, pulling his hands back, and looking away, his face expressing mock hurt. The corner of his lip curled into a smirk, and he turned back to face the girl. He looked to ‘his book’ thoughtfully, before pulling it a tad closer to him. Seems like I’m going to have to study this… he muttered thoughtfully, though he was just joking. He already knew how to charm a woman, but like he was ever going to get the opportunity to use it, and mean it at the same time.
I’m Licander, he said, holding out his hand, looking at the girl in the eye. He showed sincerity, like he wasn’t just playing around anymore, like he was actually trying to start a conversation. Yes, he can be all nice and polite. Yay for Li[es].

Fine then
Delilah slightly closed her eyes. She wanted to say sorry. Though she knew it wasn't going to help. She couldn't help for the way she was. She wanted to tell it all to him to let it all spill out instead of bottling it up and throwing away from her only for it to drift back. She wanted to tell him how hard it was. How hard it was for her to trust someone, anyone. It was her fault her twin sister was dead. It was all her fault. If she just hadn't, just hadn't. If she would have done this and not. Its always If. If only, If only.
Seems like I’m going to have to study this…
She didn't look up at him as he spoke. She felt her stomach churning.
I’m Licander
His voice called into her ears. She looked back at him his hand reaching out to her. She looked up at him then at his hand kind of hesitating. Finally she raised her hand and clasped his "Delilah" she spoke gently the name rolling on her tongue gingerly. Her brown eyes looking at him as her ears pinned back a little near her neck. She was kind of glad she had her hair down or if he didn't look closely at her neck or back. Then he might be able to see her bar code on her neck and even a few scars that reached across her shoulder, creeping up from her back.
She bared these scars, her burden, her shame. As punishment for the death of everyone she grown to love and know. For the death of all the children and her twin sister.
The choppers still hummed in her ears. The loud humming burning. The smell of blood and flames. All because of that boy she trusted. That boy she lead to her village where they hide while all the husbands, brothers, and older teens went over to war. Then that boy. That same boy betraying her. Telling an enemy where their sanctuary was. Bringing death and fear. All because of that boy. She loved.

For a second, Licander didn’t think he was going to get her name from the way she seemed to hesitate, looking at his hand like she was unsure of what he wanted. After what seemed like forever, she took his. Delilah, she replied, and Licander smiled. Delilah… where have I heard that name… he wondered, but didn’t show it on his face. He released her hand and retracted his, before he caught a glimpse at what she was reading. English and Greek books. Was she learning Greek? He didn’t ask.
Something about her didn’t seem human. He smelt a twinge of something else on her. Without making it too obvious, he looked just past her face and noticed something was hidden in her hair. He said nothing, but had a hunch of what he smelt. He’d seen a couple of them around.
His yellow eyes drifted back to hers, as he searched them, and with any luck he’d see something within her, but to no avail. He decided to talk some more. He had a pretty voice, so maybe she won’t get bored of him anytime soon…
How come you came to Anslema? he wasn’t asking this rudely nor obnoxiously, but simply conversationally.

How come you came to Anslema?
Delilah didn't look at him but not in a rude manor. She looked in the distance her eyes cloudy "I wasn't necessary" She felt a shiver rise up her spine as she remembered that dark place. The cold floors. How they forced her around cruelly until she turned on them just once and after that they no longer wanted her. So they just dumped her here to get them out of her hairs. She doesn't even remembered how she got there.
She remembered the soldiers took her and placed her in a shadowed place, alone, except for the cries of others. Then soon people passed by in front of her once in a while but moved on. Then someone came and took her. She lived in a big mansion but lived in a corner in the basement. She was more or less a pet. If the owners didn't like anyway she looked at them they'd beat her.
Then one day the Gardener beaten her when she was outside and was admiring the flowers and then the next thing she knew the gardener was there dead a frozen spike between his body.
"I was unwanted" she spoke again.
Delilah then looked back at Licander. "you?" she asked a little curious as well.

...wasn't necessary...unwanted... Those few words seemed to stick in Licander's mind, and didn't leave. He wondered what she was trying to get at, saying this. By saying she wasn't necessary, she made it sound like she was some part of an experiment, that she could have either wanted to be a part of or not. Yes by saying she was unwanted made it seem like she was kicked out of somewhere by force. This arose many questions in Licander's mind, but none he voiced, since he didn't want to offend her or anything.
After all, she kind of reminded him of himself.
You? she asked, pulling Li from his thoughts. He looked to her, and it took a moment or two to realize what she asked.
Oh, he smirked, before giving a small shrug. You know, found out I had a power, parents thought I should go here so that I can control them, blah blah blah. The usual. he said with a smirk. He wanted to get away from that topic, so he shifted it over to her. So... Suddenly he couldn't think of anything to say. Usually he'd have the regular line to throw out, see what happens. But now he was stuck.
So what are you doing later? Ah damn it. Wasn't what he'd expected to say; it just kinda slipped out. Oh well, better than beginning an in-depth conversation about the weather.

Delilah held her delicate hands. As she listened to him talk. She felt like she could swim into his words even though they weren't nothing special. They were to her because he was talking to her. Though she pressed herself back the wall between them. She wanted it gone and she didn't know if he knew the wall was there.
You know, found out I had a power, parents thought I should go here so that I can control them, blah blah blah. The usual.
She nodded. That was with some people. Some people didn't have a good history with their powers and some just came here with no problems. The ones with the problems are usually talked the most about.
So...
He started it kind of caught her off guard when he couldn't say anything. She looked at him. He usually had something to come back at her as a good answer nothing that could be questioned to see if he was going to let her down like the others had in the past. Though now. Right now. He was silent. Why?
So what are you doing later?
She looked at him "me..." she wasn't really sure. She would probably stay here the rest of the day because she had to learn her english better. She didn't have anything else important to do, or more enjoyable. "nothing really...i guess just stay here and study..."

Her response made him frown. Stay here and study? All day? He couldn’t think of anything else more fun to do. Yeah, right. He smiled and looked away slightly. Wow, that’s exciting. Would you like some earl tea and have and in-depth conversation about the weather as well? he joked. C’mon, let’s do something. Something fun. Professional Assassins should be able to have fun every once in awhile too, right?

Delilah was so confused but why did he say that. He must have been joking around with her. OK then now what go somewhere with him but she possibly couldn't. She didn't know anything about this country it was all so strange.
C’mon, let’s do something. Something fun.
Delilah looked at him "um but i don't anything fun to do the truth is I don't know anything about this country I'm just now learning english...I'm not sure.." she said she wanted to beat her head against the table for saying that now he thought she was probably stupid or something she didn't know but she knew nothing good came out when your a foreigner.

//Wow. Had totally forgotten about this thread. My bad o.o//
Um but I don't anything fun to do the truth is I don't know anything about this country I'm just now learning English...I'm not sure.. Licander raised his eyebrows at that response. His eyes drifted off her face and into the distance of the Library. Until he smiled.
Oh, so that's what the Greek books are for... I see now. he said, looking to her again. So are you from Greek-land? He hesitated. Err, Greece? Sorry, he said with a small laugh. Greek-land. Haha... What was he thinking...

Delilah gave a small smile "I originally lived in Greece but later on lived in Bulgaria..I know Latin and Bulgarian also but I like to speek in my native tongue" She knew that she usally spoke Latin all the time maybe because that was the language of the slaves but she'd rather speek Greek for that what her and her sister spoke to each other as when they plaid together.
Delilahs timid smile faded as she thought of her sister. Her otherself was missing. They had the same thoughts and knew what each other felt and now she was cut in half without her.
