Full Name: Fang Ride
Race: "Angel"
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Weapons: He doesn't fight with weapons, just with his bare hands. He likes shot guns, but he doesn't have one.
Personality: Well, if I was to sum up his personality into one word, it would be "Dark". Almost everything he does has a dark feeling to it, but that's not saying he's 'evil' or anything. He's the last thing from being 'evil'. Also, he seems to be the 'strong and silent' type, since, well, he's strong, and he doesn't talk a lot. Fang's emotions aren't shown often, as though he keeps a tight lid on them, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't have any emotions or anything. They can be seen from his eyes. A smile from Fang is a pretty rare sight, and usually vanishes quickly. A smirk can be seen every so often, but to see him grin at you is something that might even surprise someone. He doesn't talk much, and when he does, it's not a big speech; just a quick sentence. Why? Who knows. That's just his personality, I guess. Fang might seem like a dark, tight, enclosed guy, but that would just be if he doesn't trust you. He was taught to never trust anyone. Anyone can be his enemy. Prove him wrong. Show him he can trust you, and trust you will get.
Likes: Ravioli, Chocolate bars, Jokingly insulting others, Sarcasm, Flying, Eating, Having a place to stay
Dislikes: Traitors, Having to give up, Being helpless, Seeing people he cares about being in pain, Being hungry, People in white lab coats (Doctors, Nurses, Vets, Insane Scientists, etc.), That hospitaly, antiseptic smell. It brings back memories.
Family: Max (15, F), Iggy (15, M), Nudge (12, F), The Gasman (9, M) and Angel (7, F). he is not Blood related to any of these people, but he still considers them his family.
Brief History: Fang’s earliest memories are of him being in a laboratory called “The School”; where a bunch of ‘mad’ scientists, also called “whitecoats” have been illegally playing around with recombinant life-forms, where they graft different species’ DNA together. Most of their experiments failed horribly, or lived horribly for only a short while. A couple kinds survived, including a handful of bird kids, who are mostly human with some bird DNA thrown in.
Fang is one of the six bird kids. At The School, he was tested on, experimented with, like his purpose of life was to be some lab rat. The whitecoats would experiment on Fang with needles, injections; force him to drink different liquids, to see how his body would react or if his heart rate would change, etc. When he wasn’t being tested on, he was thrown into some locked-up dog crate, where he would have to stay until the whitecoats came up with some other sickening way to test on him. He was starved, and when he was fed some food, it always turned out to be some nauseating lab junk, which would usually result in him throwing it up.
Basically, Fang was living anyone’s nightmare.
Fang, along with 5 other avian experiments, escaped The School by being smuggled out by Jeb Batchelder, a whitecoat who felt pity for them. After looking after the “Flock” for years, Jeb suddenly disappeared, presumed dead.
Fang’s Flock consists of Max (Female, 14), Fang (Male, 14), Iggy (Male, 14), Nudge (Female, 11), The Gasman (Male, 8), and Angel (Female, 6).
Over the next year, the Flock is repeatedly attacked and hunted down by Erasers, which are another kind of experiment that seems to function pretty well and lasts more than a couple days. Erasers are human-lupine hybrids, or wolf people. These experiments have an average life span of about 6 years. The whitecoats trained them to hunt and kill, like a personal army. They’re strong and bloodthirsty, but lousy about impulse control.
At one point, Fang almost looses his life after an attack by a specific Eraser named Ari (who just so happens to be Jeb’s son.) smashed Fang’s head against a rock, then proceeded to kill him, but is stopped by Jeb. Who apparently didn’t die, but went back to the whitecoats side instead.
Another time, later on in that year, Ari shredded Fang’s side to ribbons during another attack. Once again, Fang almost died, since Ari hit a main artery, and Fang lost a lot of blood.
But, of course, he survived. Yay.
Months later, the Flock was unfortunately captured by the whitecoats, and brought back to their hell; The School. Only their intention was not to test on the human-avain hybrids, but to instead kill them off. Max had been informed many months that she was supposed to “Save the World”. Isn’t that classic. But the whitecoats plan was to wipe off half of Earth’s population; getting rid of anyone was wasn’t in perfect condition. And that their experiments would live in this new, perfect world. And Max was supposed to somehow stop that ASAP. Pressure much?
So anyway, Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gazzy and Angel made it out of the horrid School, along with Ari. Who had apparently trying to help the Flock, rather than killing them, like always. Well, you can guess that Fang didn’t quite fancy the idea of hanging around with a guy who had almost killed him Twice. So, Fang turned his back on the Flock, and left them. Iggy and the Gasman tagged along, but after Max saved the world and all that fun stuff, the trio were going to go back to the Flock. But only two of them returned to where they belonged. Fang didn’t go back.
Where Max and the Flock were now, and whether or not Ari is still with them or not, remains a mystery to Fang, but so far he shows no intention of returning to them. His reasoning is unknown, even to himself. He just refuses to go back, but isn’t able to come up with his own reasoning. So he just avoids the topic, or at least tries to as much as he can. Even though many things are reminding him of Max……
Well, since Fang has nowhere to go to, and the idea of living on the streets doesn’t appeal to him, he chose to attend Anslema, a boarding school for “gifted teens”. Needless to say, Fang chuckled at that last part, thinking, ”No, I’m not some mutant freak. I’m just ‘gifted’…”
Since Fang doesn't fancy the idea of a bunch of people knowing that he is some science experiment, and not even completely human, he just says that he is a descendant of the dark angel, Lucifer. Surprisingly, people seem to buy that.
Anything Extra: If you have ever read the Maximum Ride series, then this is Fang from there.
Pets: Him and his Flock used to have a talking, black Scottie dog named Total. But since he isn't with them now, he has no pets.
Wing color: They're so dark, that they seem a faint purple in the sunlight. Very, very black wings he has.
Appearance: It is this, but with dark eyes... I'm going to try and get this edited by someone who's good at editing these kind of things
